BITTEN BY THE SERPENT

Just as the Israelites, when bitten by snakes looked at the serpent made from brass and were saved, so must you look or believe in Jesus Christ to be saved!

PHYSICAL SERPENTS OR SNAKES

Once upon a time, the Children of Israel were bitten to death by snakes, God gave them a cure by asking Moses to make a snake from bronze and hang it on a tree so that anyone bitten can look at it and be saved.

The Lord said to Moses, "Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live." So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, he lived. (Numbers 21:8-9)

THE SPIRITUAL SNAKE

The Devil is this spiritual snake he is called the Ancient Serpent or Satan or the great dragon.

The great dragon was hurled down — that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray (Revelations 12:9)

Satan is the ancient serpent who deceived Adam and Eve. He has bitten and exploited the human race with many evil. He is the brain behind every failure and evil your life (Romans 3:23). He wants to steal every glory in your life. He is a Liar, a thief and a murderer, his target is to steal, kill and destroy you (John 10:10) He want to destroy you just as the snakes destroyed the Israelites in the wilderness. His deadly poison has entered into every man and the only way that we can be cured is through Jesus.  No matter whom you are and what you have, without Jesus Christ in your life you are a victim of the devil poisonous bite, both in this life or after this life. 

JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY WAY

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

The only provision God made for the Israelite to be saved was for them to look upon the serpent of bronze that Moses made and hanged on the tree, likewise the only provision God has made for our salvation is for us to look unto Jesus and entrust our lives into His hands.

Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.(John 3:14-15)

Jesus came so that you may have life in abundance. John 10:10b

Beloved you can receive Christ right now by giving Him the free right to rule your life.  You can do this by believing in Him with your heart and asking Him in prayer to be your Lord and saviour. Please pray this prayer meaningfully!

Lord Jesus, I come to you just as I am, I believe you are the only saviour of the world, forgive me of my evil ways, accept me as your own and help me to live for you. Thank you for making me your own. Amen!
